We greatly appreciate it when participants register an intent to participate in an event prior to the event date. Early registration ensures the Event Director and organising club knows how many participants are likely to attend and how many support crew might be required. The Event Director can also use the details provided to contact participants if the event needs to be modified, postponed or cancelled due to inclement weather.

You can register an intent to participate in our club events by entering details through one of our registration links.

The Riverland Paddling Marathon link can be found here – RPM Entries

The link for the OnkaLD, Back2Back & Christmas Race is here – Registration Other

Registering an intent to participate in the OnkaLD, Back2Back & Christmas Race does not require any immediate payment. By registering an intent to participate you are simply advising the Event Director of your intent to participate. An intent to paddle must therefore be confirmed with a formal entry on event date prior to the event briefing session.

The MCC-SA organises and runs the following regular events on an annual basis –

  • The Back2Back paddling marathons – on the first weekend in May every year; a great weekend of paddling at Murray Bridge
  • The Riverland Paddling Marathon – in June; South Australia’s largest annual gathering of paddlers and one of Australia’s toughest paddling marathons
  • The Christmas Race and Dinner –  in November; a 29km marathon paddle on the upper reaches of the Murray River followed by the club’s Christmas tea

The MCC-SA also supports the following regular events which have marathon distances –

NB – there are also many other irregular events that we support as individual club members such as the SA Winter LD races.
