Christmas Race report
On a sunny and warm day the annual MCC-SA Christmas race was held last on Nov 26th at Swan Reach.
All paddlers opted to paddle the long course from Blanchetown to Swan Reach on the beautiful Murray River.
Forecast winds discouraged a few expected entries in the competitive K & TK classes but outriggers, multisport and recreational craft were keen to paddle the beatiful course. River flow was relatively non-existent with the river quite mild in parts, although some sections of the river still offered up 6-8″ of rolling waves on the bow.
Generally paddlers were happy with their paddle on a beautiful part of the river and even more so with drinks and tea at the Swan Reach Hotel.
